Is there a cost for the Meet and Greet for Steam Powered Giraffe at 8pm on Saturday the 16th? Do we just line up at Panel Room A by 8p for it.. or do we need to sign in or have a pass for it? Can you take your own pictures during the meet and greet? Please provide all the information needed for this meet and greet with Steam Powered Giraffe. Also will Steam Powered Giraffe be doing anything on Sunday the 17th? Thank you!
At-Con events are free with a paid registration for the day(s) of the event(s) you wish to attend. As for photographs I am not sure what SPG will allow, each guest is different, but you can check with con-ops or wait for an official announcement at con.
Will SPG be performing on Sunday as previously announced?
Steam Powered Giraffe will perform Saturday night of the show followed by a meet-and-greet. They are currently not schedule for any other events at Ani-Jam 2014. You can follow the event page they set up for the concert at https://www.facebook.com/events/652218341515862/
What exactly is the +18 viewing and panels are going to be about?
I do not have a complete list regarding viewing. I can tell you it is +18 viewing because when we ask for permissions from distributors our contract says anything rated MA will not be shown to minors. This is a very broad range when it comes to anime.
As for the panels. I am unsure what Jessica Calvello’s panel will be about but I am told the one being put on by Samantha Inoue-Harte will involve reading from romance novels in character voices.
So what will the open table top gaming entail? Is there going to be tournaments or just casual play meeting new people, and trying out new games?
Yes, mostly open play/meeting new people as you described. We do have a group that will be demonstrating a new game in there. There’s no scheduled time for it so I imagine they will be doing it throughout the weekend. Hopefully we will have some organized tournaments next year.
